Fourth Plinth

Mr Brown's classes have been creating designs for the fourth plinth in Trafalgar square.

The Fourth Plinth is a plinth in Trafalgar Square in central London. It was originally intended to hold an equestrian statue of William IV, but remained bare due to insufficient funds. The fate of the plinth was debated for 150 years. Since 1999 a sequence of Contemporary art works have taken their place on the platform. Famous artists are asked to propose a piece to sit on top and then from the short list a work is chosen. Below is the current work Hahn/Cock by Katharina Fritsch.
